Superior Taste Award 2023: Acqua Dolomia awarded with three gold stars

The jury of the International Taste Institute, composed of some of the world’s top chefs and sommeliers, has awarded the Superior Taste Award 2023: Acqua Dolomia has once again received the Three Gold Stars – Superior Taste Award.

The Superior Taste Award is a certification that rewards products meeting or exceeding (taste score above 70%) the expectations of chefs and sommeliers. Each year, thousands of products are evaluated, and only very good products are awarded. We are proud that Acqua Dolomia is among them again this year.

This marks the fifth time Acqua Dolomia has received a positive evaluation from the International Taste&Quality Institute, headquartered in Brussels: the Three Gold Stars are indeed a quality guarantee previously achieved in 2013, 2015, 2018, and 2021.

“This recognition from the International Taste Institute is of the highest level, unequivocally affirming the high quality of our product. Receiving the Superior Taste Award for five editions is a globally certified confirmation that supports us in enhancing the concept of high quality and excellence. It serves as an important marketing lever, consolidating the credibility and trust that our brand aims to spread from Italy to the world,” declare the leaders of Sorgente Valcimoliana. “We bottle a true natural excellence distinguished by exceptional chemical-physical characteristics that enhance any food-wine pairing, and we are very proud that this uniqueness has been recognized once again.”

Information about the International Taste Institute
Founded in 2005 and based in Brussels, Belgium, the International Taste Institute evaluates and certifies the taste of foods and beverages worldwide.

The jury consists of over 200 professional chefs and sommeliers. Each jury member is carefully selected based on their tasting experience, having been highlighted by chef and sommelier competitions or prestigious institutions such as Michelin Guide and Gault & Millau. Hailing from over 20 countries, Taste Institute jury members are all external and independent. Their taste knowledge and ability to provide relevant feedback are continuously evaluated and monitored by the Taste Institute’s tasting committee.

The International Taste Institute conducts an objective sensory evaluation: its jury follows a strict blind tasting methodology where product samples are anonymized to avoid any scoring biases. In addition to evaluating product performance according to 5 standard sensory criteria, the jury provides comments and suggestions for further product improvement and food pairing
